Start with the month and the plan
Internet bills get confusing when the regular plan price, router rental, OTT bundles, and one-time charges are mixed together. Keeping them on separate lines lets the customer see why this month's total may be different.
Add the provider and customer, choose the billing period, then enter the plan and any extras charged this time.
June 2026 is not the same as Monthly
Billing Period is the name of the period on the bill, such as “June 2026.” Service Start and Service End give the exact dates covered. Billing Cycle says how often the plan renews: monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, or annually.
For a monthly plan, the bill might say June 2026, cover 1 June to 30 June, and show Monthly as the billing cycle. Keeping these details separate makes the period much easier to check.
Which number should the customer quote?
Account Number identifies the billing account. Customer ID identifies the subscriber or username. Connection Number identifies the installed internet line or service.
Not every provider uses all three. Copy the numbers that exist in the provider's records and leave the others empty instead of repeating one value in every box.
From account details to balance due
- Add the provider: Enter the provider name, support details, address, optional logo, website, and business tax ID.
- Set the bill dates: Enter the bill number, bill date, due date, and billing period.
- Name the account: Add the customer name, address, account number, and any useful customer ID or contact details.
- Describe the connection: Choose the connection type and enter the plan name.
- Add plan details: Select the speed, data allowance, billing cycle, and any connection number or installation details that belong on the bill.
- Enter the charges: Add the plan charge, separate add-ons, any positive adjustment, and the discount.
- Complete the total: Select the tax percentage, payment status, and amount paid.
- Check the PDF: Review the period, account, plan, charge rows, total, paid amount, and balance before generating the bill.
Regular plan, one-time extras, and discounts
Monthly Plan Charges is the main subscription amount. Static IP, OTT / Content Bundle, Equipment Rental, Installation / Activation, and Other One-time Charges appear as separate rows when an amount is entered.
This keeps a one-off router rental or installation charge from looking like part of the regular plan price. Leave an add-on at zero when it was not charged for this bill.
Use Adjustments for an extra charge and Discount for a reduction. Tax is calculated after the discount has been taken off.
Example: a plan with add-ons and a part payment
The customer has these charges for June:
- Monthly Plan: ₹999
- Static IP: ₹199
- OTT Bundle: ₹149
- Equipment Rental: ₹100
- Subtotal: ₹1,447
After a ₹100 discount, the taxable amount is ₹1,347. With 18% selected in the Tax field, tax is ₹242.46 and the bill total is ₹1,589.46.
If ₹600 has been received and the status is Partially Paid, the bill shows ₹989.46 as the balance due.
Paid, partially paid, or unpaid?
Choose Paid when the whole bill has been paid; the generator records the full total as paid. Choose Partially Paid and enter the amount received when some money is still due. Choose Unpaid and leave Amount Paid at zero when nothing has been received.
The form does not stop you from choosing one status and entering an amount that suggests another. Check the Paid and Balance Due rows in the preview before making the PDF.
The totals table shows what was paid and what remains. If you need a separate acknowledgement with the payment method and reference clearly printed, make a payment receipt.
Plan details describe the service, not actual internet usage
The bill can show Fiber Broadband, Cable Broadband, Fixed Wireless, Mobile Broadband, or Leased Line, along with the plan name, advertised speed, data allowance, and billing cycle.
It does not measure consumed data, speed-test results, downtime, or overage usage. “Limited,” “Unlimited,” and “FUP” are plan labels only.
A quick check before downloading
- Provider and customer names are correct.
- Bill date, due date, and service dates are not mixed up.
- Billing period and billing cycle describe the right service.
- Account, customer, and connection numbers are in the correct fields.
- Plan name, speed, and data allowance match the connection.
- One-time charges do not look like recurring plan charges.
- Discount is being used for a reduction, not Adjustments.
- Tax is calculated on the amount after discount.
- Payment status, amount paid, and balance agree.
Internet bill FAQs
Can this bill show fiber, cable, wireless, mobile broadband, or a leased line?
Yes. Choose the connection type and add the plan name, speed, data allowance, and billing cycle that describe the service.
What should I write in Billing Period?
Enter a short label such as “June 2026” or “April–June 2026.” Use Service Start and Service End when exact dates should also appear.
Can I add router rental, OTT, installation, or a static IP?
Yes. Each has a separate add-on field, along with Other One-time Charges and Adjustments.
How are discount and tax calculated?
The generator adds the plan and positive add-on charges, subtracts the discount, then calculates tax on the remaining amount.
Can I show CGST and SGST or IGST?
Yes. Select the tax mode and percentage that belong on the bill. The calculated tax lines appear in the charges summary.
How do I make a partially paid internet bill?
Choose Partially Paid and enter the amount received. The difference between the total and the paid amount appears as Balance Due.
Does the bill show how much data the customer used?
No. It can show the plan's allowance as Limited, Unlimited, or FUP, but it does not record consumed data or overage usage.
Can I download the internet bill as a PDF?
Yes. Review the account, period, plan, charges, tax, payment, and balance in the preview, then generate and download the PDF.
