Give the customer a bill for their meal
A guest is ready to pay, or a takeaway order is ready to collect. Prepare a bill that shows what they ordered and the amount to pay. For delivery, include the customer’s address when needed.
Restaurant bill example
These sample amounts show how the total is calculated. Use the prices and tax that apply to your bill.
A takeaway order has two paneer rolls at ₹160 each and one lime soda at ₹60.
- Paneer rolls: 2 × ₹160 = ₹320
- Lime soda: 1 × ₹60 = ₹60
- Subtotal: ₹380
- Tax: ₹19
- Total: ₹399
If the customer pays ₹399 by UPI, select UPI, mark the bill as paid, and enter ₹399 as the amount received.

Restaurant bill FAQs
Is the customer name required?
No. Customer details are optional and can be left empty for a normal walk-in order.
Can I add GST to the restaurant bill?
Yes. Add the GSTIN and tax percentage when they are needed. Set the tax to zero when no tax should be added.
Should I select 58mm or 80mm?
Select the size used by your receipt printer. The 80mm format gives more space for long item names and larger orders.
